"Chavez" filming is going on full throttle in Hermosillo

Despite the high temperatures, Diego and the actors are working intensively on the "Chavez" set. Yesterday, they shot some scenes at the Hermosillo airport until late hours of the night. At the afternoon, Diego and Wes Bentley filmed some scenes on a parking lot.

Gael, John Malkovich and possibly George Clooney will make a cameo on "Chavez"

Yesterday, I mentioned on my comment over Heat's latest post that Gael was in Hermosillo to follow "Chavez" filming, once he is one of the producers. But he is more than that: he will make a cameo on the movie and yesterday he shot his first scenes. In a press conference, Diego said that he is expecting John Malkovich and his friend Jesus Ochoa to join them in Hermosillo in the next few days. And there is a good chance that George Clooney will make an appearance on the movie as well, but Diego didn't confirm this information.

More pictures of Diego on the "Chavez" set and new article

The movie shooting is intense in Hermosillo. According to local newspapers the temperature there is above 40ºC, but Diego, the cast and the crew are working 24/7 to get everything done by July, 1st, when the filming is scheduled to end in Hermosillo to then move to Los Angeles.

New pictures of Camila & the kids

TV Notas, a mexican gossip magazine, published today some brand new pictures of Diego's wife and kids. They were pictured having a lot of fun in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, earlier this month. Camila's mother, Ernestina, and sister, Marina, were also there. Diego couldn't make it because he was in Hermosillo filming "Chavez".

Jeronimo and Fiona are really big now and soooo cute! And Camila looks amazing for a mother of two!

Diego is up for MTV Movie Awards 2012

Diego Luna, Demian Bichir, Penélope Cruz, Zoe Saldaña and Harmony Santana are the nominees for Best Latino Actor at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, which will be held June 3, the MTV, Musica y Mas television channel announced Monday.

The bilingual entertainment channel said in a press release that Saldaña was nominated for her role in the film "Colombiana," Luna for "Casa de Mi Padre," Bichir for "A Better Life," Cruz for "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and Santana for "Gun Hill Road."

The winner will be announced on Tr3s on June 10 on the rebroadcast subtitled in Spanish of the 2012 MTV Movie Awards that MTV will broadcast live on June 3.

Between now and June 2, viewers will be able to vote online for this year's Best Latino Actor at movieawards.tr3s.com.
